Audrey has the most beautiful story of
why she chose to do self portraits. Audrey is in the United States Army
and studying to be a therapist for soldiers with post traumatic stress
disorder. To deal with her busy schedule and hours of work dedicated to her
passion of therapy she took up yoga and working with a wonderful personal
trainer as a way to calm herself from everyday stresses and getting
her body in amazing shape. While doing her clinical rounds in a hospice
hospital she noticed that all of her patients had decorated their rooms with
pictures of themselves from their youth. Audrey chose to do a self
portrait session that showcased all of the months of training and hard work so
that one day many, many years from now she can look back and say
"wow" with a huge smile. Audrey gave me full creative control
and I wanted to incorporate a zen look and a contrasting more urban look to her
session and here are the results. By the way the very cool pool where we
started out at is at Audrey's amazing apartment complex and I think it
was a very fun background for her portraits.
Thank you Audrey for such a fun time.
Anna :)
